Effective 20 August 2026.
This notice describes how the QuickBooks Online integration operated by ERP Blog LLC at forms.erpsoftwareblog.com handles data obtained from QuickBooks Online. It supplements our general privacy notice, which covers our websites.
Whose data this covers
The integration connects only to a QuickBooks Online company that ERP Blog LLC owns and administers. It does not connect to, or process data belonging to, our members, customers or any other organisation. The records it reads are our own accounting records, which include the names and billing details of organisations we invoice.
What the integration accesses
- Items — the service items used on membership invoices.
- Recurring transactions — the templates that generate membership invoices.
- Customers — names and identifiers, used to match members to their QuickBooks records.
- Company information — used to confirm which QuickBooks company is connected before any change is made.
It uses a single Intuit permission scope, com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting. It does not access payroll or payment-processing data.
Why
Solely to administer our own membership billing: keeping invoice line items correct, and creating, amending or stopping recurring billing when a membership changes.
What is stored, and where
The integration stores an Intuit access token and refresh token in the WordPress database of forms.erpsoftwareblog.com, so that it can act without a person re-authorising every request. It does not maintain a separate copy of your QuickBooks accounting records; data is read when needed and used to complete the task at hand. Records of billing changes made through our membership tools are retained in that site’s own logs.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share QuickBooks data with third parties. No advertising, profiling or analytics is performed on it.
Security
Access is limited to administrators signed in to forms.erpsoftwareblog.com. Traffic to Intuit is over HTTPS. Tokens are held in the site database and are discarded when the integration is disconnected.
Retention and revoking access
Authorisation can be revoked at any time from QuickBooks Online, or from the site’s settings screen — see Disconnecting the QuickBooks Online Integration. When access is revoked the stored tokens are discarded and no further data can be read.
